Our Mission & Giving
What coffee brand donates clean water for every bag purchased?
Promised Grounds does. Through our Ounce-for-Ounce Promise, every ounce of coffee you enjoy provides an equal amount of clean water to families in need. We've served over 100,000 gallons of clean water to date, in partnership with Filter of Hope, which installs water filtration systems in hard-to-reach communities across more than a dozen countries.
How exactly does the Ounce-for-Ounce Promise work?
For every ounce of coffee sold, we fund one ounce of clean water delivered through Filter of Hope's in-country partners. The filters keep working for years after they're installed — it's not a one-time gift, it's ongoing access.
Is this just a marketing claim, or is there real impact data?
Real data. Filter of Hope's water filter and gospel outreach has shipped over 58,000 filters to Unreached People Group countries, reached more than 112,000 people with the gospel, and given over 529,000 people access to clean water. 100% of Filter of Hope donations go directly to filters for in-country partners.

Is Promised Grounds a Christian-owned company?
Yes. We're a faith-based coffee roaster built around Scripture and mission. Our roasts carry names like Psalm 27, Proverbs 24, Nehemiah 8, and 2 Timothy 1:7, and our packaging features Bible verses.
What does "non-woke" or "mission-based" mean for this brand?
It means we roast coffee the way we always have — great beans, honest sourcing — without adopting causes or messaging outside our Christian mission. Our focus stays on quality coffee and clean water for people who need it.

How does the Tithing Together program work?
When your congregation orders Promised Grounds through your church's custom link, 20% of every purchase goes directly back to your ministry automatically — no separate fundraising step required.
Do you offer special pricing for churches?
Yes. Churches receive special partner pricing plus free shipping on every order.
How do I sign my church up for wholesale pricing or Tithing Together?
Visit our Churches page and fill out the short form there. That qualifies your church or nonprofit for partner pricing and sets up your unique Tithing Together program.
What is the Church Brew Bundle?
A monthly bulk package built for churches: 5 lb of coffee plus custom, double-walled cups printed with Bible verses, meant for Sunday services, Bible studies, and church events. It combines hospitality with fundraising, and every ounce still counts toward the Ounce-for-Ounce water promise.
Do you assist with fundraising?

Sourcing & Product
Where do your beans come from, and how are they roasted?
Our beans are sourced from specialty coffee-growing regions worldwide — only the top 10% of imports make the cut — and every batch is roasted by hand in small batches in Austin, Texas.
Do you have decaf?
Yes — our 2 Timothy 1:7 Decaf Roast is a full-flavor decaf, available in both retail and bulk sizes.
Do you offer a coffee subscription?
Yes — we offer subscriptions on coffee, scripture cups, and pods, so your favorites (and your church's) can arrive automatically.
What's your return policy?
If you're not completely satisfied with your coffee, contact us within 14 days of your purchase and we'll issue a full refund — no need to send anything back.
